The same shape every unit

What is inside a unit

Ten units, and each one is built the same way, so a child knows where they are.

Reading File

The passages for the unit, printed in full. Nothing to buy, nothing to find online. English courses only.

Study Book

The teaching. One idea per lesson, with a worked example, in plain words.

Workbook

The practice, in the order the Study Book taught it.

Skills Drill or Language Lab

Short repetition, so the skill becomes quick rather than remembered.

Unit Test

One test at the end of each unit, and a full assessment at the end of the year.

Why there are no answer keys

There are no answers printed anywhere in these packs, and that is a decision rather than an oversight.

A child who can see the answer stops working out the question. The working is the entire point of a workbook, and an answer sitting at the bottom of the page removes it. Marking guides do exist for every one of these courses. They stay with the tutor.

So if you want the work marked, or someone to sit with your child and go through what went wrong, that is the class rather than the pack. One tutor, one student, and the first class is free.

Straight answers

Yes. These are the course packs our tutors teach from, in Math and English. The only difference is that a class also has a tutor in it.

Paper does not explain itself.

If your child needs the explaining as well, book a free class and see what a tutor does with this material.
